It's Messy

That's Ok

One of the beauties of being a retail trader is simple.

We don’t have anyone to answer to.

No quarterly letters. No investment committees.

No pressure to always be “doing something.”

We can simply wait for resolution.

And right now, the market is giving us none.

Some markets trend.

Some markets chop.

At the moment, we’re firmly in the second category.

Just look at the Equal Weight S&P 500 ($RSP).

It might be the best visual representation of the current tape.

Price is sitting above some support, below some resistance, and drifting around the moving averages with no real conviction either way.

And that’s okay.

Not every environment requires a strong opinion or a constant trade.

Sometimes the market is simply telling you to slow down.

Get outside and enjoy the spring weather.

My job isn’t to force a narrative onto the market.

It’s to listen.

When the market finds a rhythm again, I’ll be here ready to act.

Until then, enjoy this extra daylight.

Anyway, that’s my two cents.
