The Squeeze Watch (07/17/2026)

Welcome to The Squeeze Watch.

No government stake story. But here's something better and it's real:

The Trump administration sat Ford and GM's CEOs down in April and asked if Detroit could start building military hardware again.

It's the Golden Dome era, and Ford's CEO told investors on the earnings call: "We are in early discussions with the U.S. government on some defense-related projects."

The last time Ford built for the military, it was B-24 bombers and Sherman tank engines.

This could shape up to be quite the re-rating story. But right now, the chart is what matters most:

Ford Motor Co $F is currently exhibiting a squeeze score of 92.

Here’s what the chart looks like:

Ford is coiling against it's most recent pivot high AVWAP, as price works to complete a multi-month reversal base.

After a sharp pullback off the recent highs, price has carved out a smaller tactical base. At the same time, volatility on the Strazza Indicator compressed to its lowest level in months, signaling a meaningful reset as price tightens near the apex of the structure.

A breakout above the recent high VWAP is the trigger that Ford could drive much higher.
