Jeff Macke is a veteran retail investor and media commentator whose edge comes from a lifetime inside the industry. The son of former Dayton Hudson (now Target) CEO Kenneth Macke, he learned retail from the store floor up before working at Macy’s, advising major chains like Sears and Gap, and earning his MBA from Stanford. He later founded a consumer-focused hedge fund that delivered 35% annualized returns from 1998–2003, then became a founding voice on CNBC’s Fast Money.
