Insider Buys From Executives and Politicians

Every weekend, I dig into our filings tracker looking for the biggest conviction buys — and this week, we saw aggressive buying from executives, major shareholders, and even Congress.

Let’s take a look:

GeneDx Holdings $WGS led the week with a massive $46.8M purchase from director Keith Meister.

Meister is the founder of Corvex Management and one of the more well-known activist investors in the market. When someone with that kind of reputation steps into a name with size, it immediately gets our attention.

Pulse Biosciences $PLSE saw over $13.5M in combined buying from the CEO and a director.

When the people closest to the business are putting meaningful personal capital to work, it signals confidence in the company’s stock.

Atlas Energy Solutions $AESI also stood out after Representative Chip Roy disclosed a purchase worth between $5M and $25M.

Those are unusually large numbers for congressional trading disclosures, which is exactly why it caught our eye.

CEO buying continued to be a major theme this week as well.

HubSpot $HUBS saw purchases from both the CEO & President alongside the CTO, while Waste Connections $WCN saw a sizable buy from its President & CEO.

This is the type of insider activity we always want to track closely. The CEO has the best visibility into the business, and when they step in with their own money, it suggests conviction in higher prices ahead.

Shift4 Payments $FOUR also made the list with a nearly $16M purchase from Jared Isaacman.

He’s the founder and former CEO of the company, and someone with deep ties to the business.

Institutional conviction showed up again in Alkami Technology $ALKT, where General Atlantic purchased another $20M worth of stock.

And finally, Under Armour $UA and American Assets Trust $AAT both saw meaningful purchases from major insiders, including Fairfax Financial and the Executive Chairman at AAT.
