Every weekend, I dig into our filings tracker looking for the biggest conviction buys — and this week, we saw meaningful buying from executives, specialist funds, and long-term strategic investors.
Let’s take a look:
MSCI $MSCI kicked things off with a $2.2M purchase from the Chairman & CEO.
This is exactly the kind of insider activity we want to monitor closely. When the person with the most visibility into the business is stepping in with personal capital, it can signal confidence that the market isn’t fully appreciating.
American Assets Trust $AAT also saw buying from its Executive Chairman, and Nomad Foods $NOMD stood out with purchases from both the CFO and CEO.
That kind of cluster buying matters. When multiple top executives are buying at the same time, it signals alignment and conviction at the highest level of the company.
GeneDx Holdings $WGS saw a massive $21.4M purchase from Casdin Partners.
This is a well-known healthcare and biotech-focused investment firm, so when they’re putting serious capital to work, it’s worth paying attention.
What makes this even more interesting is that just last week, we saw another major buyer step into the name: Corvex Management.
When multiple sophisticated investors are aggressively accumulating the same stock in back-to-back weeks, that’s the kind of institutional conviction we want to track closely.
In materials, MP Materials $MP saw a purchase from its COO as the stock continues to coil between two VWAPs.
Gold.com $GOLD made the list again with another sizable purchase from Tether Global Investments Fund.
And finally, Fortune Brands Innovations $FBIN saw over $2M in buying from Edward Garden. Garden is a co-founder of Trian Fund Management, one of the most respected activist firms on Wall Street.
When experienced activists continue adding exposure, it can be a sign they see value creation ahead.
